Hi friends!

It's National Sleep Awareness Week!
**She yawns and grumbles yet again about Daylight Savings Time . . . **

The week after a time change is SLEEP AWARENESS WEEK??
What kind of twisted joke is that, I ask you? 🙃

Anyway . . . If you’ve been burning the candle at both ends, this is your reminder to prioritize rest!
Quality sleep is one of the most powerful tools for improving our overall health.

We all know sleep is super important, but let’s be real for a second . . . many of us aren’t getting enough of it.

One big culprit, especially amongst parents of youngsters and school-aged kids is called Revenge Bedtime Procrastination.

That's fancy name for a terrible habit that far too many of us have (yes, me included!).

You know what I am talking about . . . the habit of staying up late for “me time”, without any real reason.
Even when we are absolutely exhausted.
Even when we aren't actually doing anything.
Even when we know we should put the phone away and go to bed.
Even when we know we will regret it tomorrow.

Sound familiar?
Here’s how to break the cycle.

Even if you don't put off going to bed in that way ⬆️, you might still want to check in.

I probably don't have to tell you that sleep affects EVERYTHING.

Getting enough quality shuteye is essential for everything from brain function and mood to metabolism and immune health.

Are you sitting there thinking that you know you should prioritize those Zzzzz's, but you're not sure where to start?
The National Sleep Foundation has great tips on building better sleep habits.
Check them out here.

Plus, if you need a little science-backed motivation, this short roundup of the latest sleep research will show you just how much sleep impacts your health.

This week, challenge yourself to make sleep a priority . . .
Your body (and mind) will thank you!

Before I go . . .
What’s one change you can make this week to improve your rest?
Hit reply and let me know.

Sweet dreams and thanks for being here,
