Hi friends!
Hope you're all doing well.
Is it too late in the month to say "Happy New Year?"
With the holiday season firmly behind us, cold weather settling in, and life happening at a faster pace than ever before, this time of year can bring up all kinds of thoughts and emotions.
From the "January blahs" to already looking ahead to spring.
From being thankful for snow to feeling cabin fever.
From starting with a blank slate and being happy to be back into routines to reminiscing and wishing the holiday season hadn't flown by so fast . . .
These are all valid and understandable feelings to be having.
And that doesn't even incorporate New Year's Resolutions!
Still going strong, failed hardcore, or somewhere in between?
That's okay.
I've got you.
What I have for you today is a list of tiny things you can do to improve your health, but I want you to read and understand this first.
This is not a list of "homework" or something else to add to your overflowing plate!
Nope.
Not at all.
What I have for you today are 10 options.
Each of them are very powerful, each will help you feel better and be healthier.
So, don't you dare look at this list and think "geez, that's a lot!" because taken together, yes! It is!
The goal is to pick one (just one!) and start focusing on that today.
Make a habit of it, spend a few weeks getting that routine REALLY solid, and then revisit this list and pick another.
Some of you might be thinking "but Kate, I want to get healthy NOW!" but as you know, that's not how life works and that definitely doesn't align with my coaching philosophy.
You see, if you look at the list, get overwhelmed and don't change anything, then two weeks (or years!) from now, you will be right here where you stand today.
If you look at the list, try to tackle it all at once, get overwhelmed, and stop, then . . . you guessed it. You will be right where you stand today.
On the other hand, if you take a small step today . . .
Then another tomorrow . . . and another the next day . . .
and keep taking those small steps, before you know it, you are WAY further down the road than you realized
AND you did it without any overwhelm!!
So . . . which one will it be?
Til next time,
P.S. In case you're curious, this is what I help my clients with. Removing the overwhelm. If you struggle with implementing these types of habits and want some help, hit reply and let's chat.
